Bar Opening, Volunteers Needed

General | 1st October 2020 | 0

As the season draws to a close, we are looking for volunteers to help run the clubs bar over the winter.

We are very much led by the governments decisions regarding Covid 19 and any potential future lockdowns or closure of pubs ands bars, but for the immediate future our plan is to open on the following times from October 9th onwards:

Friday 17.30 – 22:00 (last orders 21:30)
Saturday 16.00 – 22:00 (last orders 21:30)
Sunday 12.00 – 17:00pm

To ensure we are conforming with social distancing rules, we have to offer table service with tables spaced out with no more than 6 persons per table.

Anytime anyone leaves their tables they MUST wear a mask. Equally those working behind the bar and serving tables MUST also wear a mask.

Essentially we are seeking as many members as possible to offer their time to do one or two shifts per month (or more ideally!)

We need two people per shift ideally to run the bar and wait on the tables. You will also be required to clean and maintain the bar, toilets areas and close the bar and pavilion when the shift ends. There will be a procedure sheet of what to do which is simple to follow.

It may be the case that you can do three or four hours on one session which we can work with as the cases arise. It may also be the case that wives or girlfriends are able to assist so by all means bring them along.

We cannot rely simply on the same few people running the bar every shift as has been the case over the summer, so please, if you can spare an afternoon or evening a month or more it will assist the club no end.

The rota is now online and can be viewed by clicking here and there is a hardcopy available behind the bar for you to offer your services, or please speak to Matt or Myself and we will assist you.

Many thanks for your support.
